This summer, Stanford Student Enterprises will be putting on its annual Business Leadership Program. This intensive five-day conference focuses on refining the skills and increasing the exposure of 50 outstanding Stanford students chosen for their strong commitment to business and their demonstrated intellectual prowess. The program affords corporate sponsors the opportunity to meet with these leading business-minded students in a uniquely intimate setting.

The Business Leadership Program (BLP) 2007

Stanford University is very unique in that it does not offer any type of pre-Business major. This means that students interested in business must be highly proactive, reaching outside of classes to learn about and experience the business world. BLP began 4 years ago to provide a concentrated, focused, and guided opportunity for continued education. This year’s program, running from September 17th through September 21st, includes case study workshops, lectures delivered by Stanford professors at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and opportunities to have one-on-one sessions with representatives of the most prominent firms in the Bay Area and around the country.

The Participants

The mission of the Business Leadership Program is to equip the professionals of tomorrow with skills and knowledge that are not easily attainable in an undergraduate curriculum. After a highly selective application process, 50 students will be chosen to participate in the program. These students, with a variety of academic concentrations and widely variable areas of achievement, have chosen to return to campus for BLP prior to the commencement of this academic year. Each is either a senior or a co-terminal student who will receive a Bachelors or Masters degree in June of 2008.
