Every fall Stanford Student Enterprises (SSE) recruits 12 of the most competitive freshmen interested in business for its Business Intern Program. These students get an intensive immersion into the world of finance, marketing consulting and entrepreneurship. They are given hands-on experience in the divisions of SSE, playing a vital role in the workings of one of the largest student-run organizations in the country while gaining a comprehensive, substantive experience in the division they are matched into.
In addition, our interns attend speaker series and several corporate visits. Past interns have enjoyed speakers from companies such as Bain & Company, visited the corporate headquarters of Apple and Google, redesigned the Stanford Store and made an invaluable impact on the long-term success and viability of Stanford Student Enterprises. A significant portion of our interns are hired for managerial and director roles in SSE after their internship, graduating to even more integral roles within the enterprise.
If you are interested in gaining business experience and making a difference in the Stanford community, the BIP program is right for you. All of the profits from SSE are used to fund the Associated Students of Stanford University (ASSU). By working for SSE, you are ensuring that student groups have the money to continue their activities and programming. Moreover, BIP is a great way to get an interactive and challenging entrepreneurial education. And absolutely no prior business experience is required! We look for applicants with diverse and unique backgrounds and interests.
Apply now to be part of the BIP Class of 2009-2010 – and the premier freshman business internship at Stanford!
